Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for COVID-19 Pandemic has announced that individuals that have received their second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine over six months ago, need to receive their booster shot.
The booster shot will help offer additional immunity against the virus.
In order to maintain the green status on the Al Hosn App, booster shots are required.
A grace period till 20 September has been given to individuals due for their booster shot, after which the Al Hosn App status will go grey.
The green status permits entry into multiple public spaces with unvaccinated individuals, and individuals with grey and red statuses on the Al Hosn App, not permitted to enter.
Once the booster shot is taken along with a negative PCR test, the green status will remain active for 30 days.
Other vaccinations administered in the UAE currently do not require a booster shot and will be updated based on decisions made by MoHAP and other health authorities.
