The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has announced the value of the humanitarian aid provided by the charitable sector.
Over Dhs 46 million in the first half of 2021 was given to support education, health, housing, food and other charitable and humanitarian fields.
The Community Solidarity Fund against COVID-19 was provided with a total aid of Dhs 20 million to limit the health, humanitarian, economic and social repercussions of the pandemic.
The education sector received Dhs 3 million with over 2,254 students benefitting to help complete their education.
Dhs 10 million towards the health sector reached 114 patients, for the first half of this year.
A humanitarian initiative 'Your donation is a life' along with Emirates Today newspaper, the Mohammed Bin Rashid University Of Medicine and Health Sciences and IACAD supported 38 patients with kidney failure and kidney transplants.
IACAD additionally helped 21 inmates to pay their debts of Dhs 1.5 million, in an effort to create stability for their families.
