The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved the use of the Green Pass on the Al Hosn App which will come into effect from 15 June.
The pass will help track the vaccinations taken by an individual, provide safe entry, take the necessary preventive measures and will also provide active contact tracing for individuals that have tested positive and have come into contact with others.
The pass will be required for safe entry into an number of public places including shopping malls, large supermarkets, gyms, hotel facilities, public parks, beaches, private beaches, swimming pools, entertainment centres, cinemas, museums, restaurants and cafes.
The pass is divided into six tiers with each tier catering to individuals that have either received both doses of their vaccine, received one dose of the vaccine, have a medical exemption as well as for individuals that have not been vaccinated.
Based on the tier the individual is a part of, the app will be in green and the individual will have access to all the facilities. The green colour is only achieved when a negative PCR test is taken.
Once the PCR test validity runs out, the individual returns to grey till the next negative PCR test is taken.
If the individual tests positive for the virus, the individual's app will turn red and all safety precautions will be taken.
