WAM

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that an assessment of over 1,300 digital and smart services will be done at ministries and government departments.

The initiative has been undertaken to ensure that all governmental entities provide the best services and to create a great experience for individuals using digital services.

On 4 September, the top five best and worst government entities will be announced. The top five will be assessed on the basis of their digital services.

The focus will be put on ensuring individuals are able to make transactions with ease and the level of efficiency that will help increase an individual's quality of life.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said, "Continuous evaluation of our government services is not an administrative or routine procedure. Evaluation in the UAE government is a constructive approach aimed at celebrating excellence and touching aspects of improvement and development. And rewarding the diligent is a message to our government work team that every diligent in the UAE government has all appreciation, encouragement and support."

In March, the UAE Government launched the Digital Customer and Digital Government Service Policy as a part of the UAE’s Strategy for Government Services.

The policy aims at enhancing digital services, improving user experiences, increasing efficiency, increasing trust in digital services, and integrating and connecting digital systems of federal government entities

Over 28 initiatives will be carried out by 2023 that will help bring customer satisfaction to about 90% by 2022.
