The programme, 'Spring Sprout Action' will provide vaccines administered by the Dubai Health Authority to Chinese nationals that hold a short-term visa without UAE residency and are over the age of 16.

Two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine will be administered. The vaccine has received emergency use approval from the World Health Organisation in May 2021.

The launch of the facility to administer vaccines was agreed to by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Wang Yi, Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister in a meeting held in the UAE in March.
