The Ministry of Education and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority have announced the national protocol for the 12-grade examinations that will be held in June.
Public schools and private schools that are under the Ministry of Education curriculum need to follow the precautions to ensure the safety of all.
Students writing the exams, teachers, administrators, support staff, cleaning and catering staff, and security guards need to show a negative PCR test on 8 June and 13 June.
The results should not be taken more than four days earlier.
School gates will be opened 60 minutes before the exams take place with students arriving 30 minutes before the exam starts.
Parents dropping students off must stay within their vehicles and should not be exposed to other students except for students of determination. A negative PCR test must also be given.
If students experience any symptoms or respiratory ailments, they must not refrain from going to school.
Students that have contracted the virus or have come into close contact while attending the exams will be exempt from the protocol with exams held under different measures.
Face masks must be worn at all times and social distancing must be followed at the exam halls.
