Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that special car number plates will be up for auction.
Over 350 numbers with two, three, four and five-digit plates will be available for both private and classic vehicles.
Registration for the auction starts on 23 May with the auction will be held online for five days from 8am on 30 May.
The online auction will offer individuals interested the opportunity to bid in a hassle-free environment and will also help enhance the RTA's customer service transactions.
Bidders will have to create a Traffic File in Dubai and hand in a security cheque of Dhs 5,000 to RTA, along with a participation fee of Dhs 120, which is non-refundable. The number plates being sold have an added 5% VAT.
Payments can be made at Customers Happiness Centres at Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha or Deira, or by credit card either on the RTA website or through the Dubai Drive app.
