The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy has launched a live Energy Efficiency Advisor Service, that will allow residents to make energy-efficient choices to reduce their water and electricity consumption at home.
The service will help promote sustainability among residents and citizens.
By using behavioural science, the service will help provide users with advice and tips to conserve water and electricity through personal motivation.
The services are free for use and will include access to home energy efficiency experts, as well as virtual home energy assessments.
Till May, users can request a call from an efficiency advisor, who will answer queries and ways to reduce utility bills.
Additionally, the virtual home assessment with an efficiency advisor will review the current power and water equipment at home and provide tailored recommendations of equipment upgrades that can be made to maximise home energy performance.
Users can also receive a Self Instal Kit which will help increase water and energy efficiency.
The Use It Wisely campaign has been taking place since July 2020 and encourages individuals and families to adopt sustainable energy-efficient practices at home.
The Use It Wisely smartphone app has also been launched to give users access to personalised information and educational resources.
The app is available on Google Play Store and App Store for download.
