The Dubai Bicycle-Friendly City Strategy 2025 will include 18 initiatives aimed at increasing the happiness of individuals and making Dubai cycling friendly.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority aims to increase existing cycle paths to 668km by 2025, to offer better connectivity while cycling.

By increasing the facilities for cycling, the UAE aims to reduce their carbon footprint by 16% by 2021 in line with its Energy Strategy 2050.

In order to implement the strategy, the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Sports Council, Supreme Legislation Committee and Dubai Public Prosecution will develop the rules and regulations.

Additionally, dedicated areas will also be set for parking bicycles.
