Nakheel has launched an environmental awareness campaign at Discovery Gardens and Jumeriah Village Circle. The campaign will start with community clean-ups on Friday, 12 March.
Nakheel Community Management along with Hayi, a social network for neighbours, and Bee'ah, a waste management service, have partnered to collect waste from outdoor common areas.
To ensure the safety of residents, all precautionary measures will be followed, along with individual gloves and bags given out to those residents that volunteer.
Francis Giani, Chief Community Management Officer at Nakheel said, “Our clean up drive is part of our commitment to bringing residents together for environmental, educational and interactive initiatives at our communities across Dubai. It will be a great way to meet the neighbours and will hopefully raise awareness of the importance of proper disposal of household waste and the opportunities for recycling.”
