Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the closure of certain roads over the New Year's Eve celebrations.
This decision came in order to ensure the smooth travel for everyone visiting Downtown Dubai during New Year's Eve.
From 4pm on 31 December, Al Asayel Road will be closed from Oud Street to Al Meydan Street, and will only be used for emergency vehicles as well as public transport.
Financial Centre Street will also be closed from 4pm, while Al Sukuk Street will be closed from 8pm.
From 4pm, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will be closed once the set parking is full.
Those that have reservations in the area are advised to arrive before 4pm to ensure their spot.
From 6pm to 8pm, the crossing between First Business Bay Street and Trade Centre, will be closed till the event ends.
Burj Khalifa metro station will be closed from 31 December 2020 from 5pm to 2 January 2021 till 6pm.
Metro timings have also been extended for New Year's Eve to ensure public transportation is available for all.
All those visiting Downtown Dubai for New Year's Eve are encouraged to cooperate with Dubai authorities.
