The UAE has topped more than 121 global indices and 479 regional ones, even during a pandemic year.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced UAE’s lead in 79 international indicators during a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday under his chairmanship at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
"2020 has been an exceptional year for the UAE: The year of Mars, nuclear power, peace and global competitiveness. In crises, we double achievements," tweeted His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
"This is our message to all people living inside or outside the country: The UAE knows no other way of development other than to continuously better itself. Taking a back seat is not an option.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum released a series of tweets in which he congratulated His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emir of Abu Dhabi, the Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and the chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for the achievement.
The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority presented the report which revealed that the UAE ranked first globally in 121 indicators, first in the Arab world in 479 indices, and among the top ten countries in 314 indicators.
