The Spear’s Schools Index 2020 includes two UAE schools in its list of top 100 private schools in the world.
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi and Dubai College are among top five schools in the Middle East to be included in the international index.
Launched this year, The Spear’s Schools Index was created in partnership with leading private education consultancy Carfax Education to rank private schools across the globe.
Schools were ranked according to a number of factors such as academic results, unique ethos, preparation for university entry and how adequately students are prepared for life beyond academia.
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, located on Saadiyat Island, is an award-winning British international school for children aged 3-18.
Michael Wilson, Principal at Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, said: “Carfax Education and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi share a common vision that every child should be given the opportunity to develop their life skills as well as their academic profile to prepare for the journey beyond school.”
Dubai College is a coeducational day school and one of the oldest not-for-profit schools in the region.
“Dubai College has strived for excellence in each of its 42 years and we never take our success for granted. In such a high quality and competitive educational landscape as we have here in Dubai, we continue to evolve in ways that are innovative, sympathetic to our student body and always evidence informed,” said Michael Lambert, Dubai College Headmaster.
The Spear’s Schools Index is the most comprehensive global list and covers almost every continent in the world.
