Airlines Partner With Healthcare Groups To Offer Passengers Cheaper COVID-19 PCR Tests

Passengers flying out of the UAE can opt for cheaper COVID-19 tests at private healthcare groups that are now partnering with more airlines during the pandemic.

Budget carrier flydubai has announced a partnership with Aster DM Healthcare to offer passengers discounted COVID-19 PCR tests at Dhs 180 per test.

The airline stated in a press release: “The offer is available for flydubai passengers travelling from Dubai with testing services available at 28 Aster Hospitals and Clinics across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.”

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, said: “We have been working hard to give our passengers the confidence and peace of mind that they need when they travel. In this new way of travelling, we recognise that the precautionary measures that are in place result in additional planning and preparation for passengers as well as associated costs.”

Three other airlines–Air Arabia, Air India and Air India Express–have tied up with NMC Healthcare to offer special rates as well. Passengers can undergo the PCR test for Dhs 150 at all NMC hospitals and medical centres.

Pakistan International Airline and IndiGo are also offering the same discounted packages for travellers at NMC Healthcare facilities across the UAE.

A few healthcare facilities are also offering home tests for passengers starting from Dhs 190, with reports being delivered via SMS and email between 24 and 48 hours.
