To mark the occasion of the 74th Indian Independence Day, the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, was lit up to display the Indian Flag on Saturday night.
A video showing the colours lighting up the full length of the building was shared on the Burj Khalifa Twitter feed with the message "May the tricolor of freedom, courage and peace always prosper."
The UAE is home to around 3,000,000 million Indian expatriates, who make up close to 30% of the population, constitute the largest part of the UAE population.
