Dubai Customs Twitter

As Lebanese residents returned to Dubai following the explosion that shook Beirut, they were greeted at Dubai International Airport with staff from Dubai Customs presenting them with a white rose.

In a message on Dubai Customs' Twitter. Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Customs said, "Dubai Customs' initiative to give flowers to passengers arriving from Beirut shows the spirit of kindness at the heart of the aviation community. I'm sure it has provided some measure of comfort for the Lebanese passengers during these very difficult times."

The UAE is home to over 150,000 Lebanese residents and a number were affected and were in Beirut at the time of the explosion that claimed over 135 lives and injured a further 5,000 others.
