People wanting to enter Abu Dhabi can now be screened at the border and enter without the need of taking a COVID-19 test.
Since June there have been various restrictions in place to contain the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 for those wishing to enter and leave Abu Dhabi. The latest development will now see people who want to enter Abu Dhabi screened for COVID-19 upon entry by a laser-based DPI technique. If the test is negative, they will be allowed to enter Abu Dhabi, however if the test is positive from the screening, they will need them to undergo a PCR test.
Those that test positive for the DPI screening at the border and undergo a PCR test, will have to return to their homes and wait for the results of the PCR test, and if that shows they are negative, they will be allowed to enter Abu Dhabi within 48 hours.
The public however are advised to plan ahead and undergo tests in advance to avoid the possibility of delays.
