The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced new guidelines for those citizens and residents wishing to travel abroad.
The new guidelines allows certain categories of citizens and residents to travel abroad, as long as they have obtained the required permit to travel.
Currently those who want to travel for leisure or tourism will not be permitted.
The reasons permitted for travel include for study, medical treatment, diplomatic mission, official business of government and private sector business travel.
People who fit within these categories must also apply for a permit to travel, and support their application with the required set of documents, which differ for each category.
