The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the academic year across te UAE will start on 30 August. Teachers, support and administration staff will return on 23 August.
It has not been confirmed yet how pupils will begin the academic year, though it has been suggested that it could be a combination of classroom lesson and a continuation of the e-learning that has been in place since March, and schools have been preparing for either option.
In an announcement confirming the date, His Excellency Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education said, “Education remains a top priority and national objective, and therefore our leadership has directed to apply the distance education system under the current circumstances so that our students won't lose track and miss one single day from their academic year."
