The UAE Embassy in New Delhi, India has confirmed that 88 medical staff have been given permission to travel to the UAE, to help tackle coronavirus COVID-19.
The medical from India are expected to travel shortly to the UAE.
The Indian Embassy in Dubai told media that the medical staff travelling from India to the UAE includes UAE residents who were in India when flights were suspended, as well includes new recruits who were waiting to move to the UAE.
On Saturday, 2 May, the UAE sent an aid plane with seven tonnes of medical supplies to India to support 7,000 medical staff there.
