Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced "increased restrictions on movement in the Al Ras area of Dubai" for two weeks from Tuesday 31 March to facilitate enhanced sterilisation procedures.

As Al Ras goes under more restricted limitations of movement, Dubai Police has tweeted that Dubai Health Authority teams will provide all essential supplies to residents of the area during the two-week period.

Further to the announcement of restrictions in Al Ras, The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the closure of entrances leading to the area from three main roads and interchanges: Al Musalla, Al Khaleej, and Baniyas Streets.

RTA has also announced that three Green Line metro stations Al Ras, Palm Deira and Baniyas Square stations will be closed for two weeks from Tuesday 31 March in line with the precautionary measures to ensure the highest levels of health and safety.
