ToTok, the free app for making video and voice calls, has once again came under the spotlight.
On Thursday, the Google store sent a warning message to all ToTok users claiming the app tries to spy on personal data, such as SMS messages, photos, recordings, and call history.
Since then the app has been removed from Google Play Store.
The app was removed from the Apple App Store in December 2019, and was also initially removed from Google Play in December as well pending an investigation, however it was reinstated on Google Play in early January after the investigation. Subsequently, Google has confirmed that the app has been removed again from Google Play and has declined to make any comment.
