Popular celebrity chef who operates a number of restaurants in the UAE, Gary Rhodes, has passed away in Dubai at the age of 59. The news was announced in a statement made by his family saying "The Rhodes family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of beloved husband, father and brother, Gary Rhodes OBE. Gary passed away last evening, Tuesday 26th November 2019, at the age of 59, with his beloved wife Jennie by his side. The family would like to thank everyone for their support and ask for privacy during this time."
Gary Rhodes has been delighting diners with his culinary skills in the UK and UAE for 35 years, and had made Dubai his home for the last 10 years. The British chef's restaurants in Dubai include Rhodes W1 at Grosvenor House Hotel and steakhouse Rhodes Twenty 10 at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort, both in Dubai Marina.
