The Dubai edition of the world famous board game, Monopoly, has been officially launched revealing which properties, locations and iconic landmarks players can buy.
Some of the places included on the new board game include shopping malls such as Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Festival City, along with other tourist destinations such as La Mer, City Walk, Al Seef, Bluewaters, and Dubai Marina. Iconic landmarks also feature including Atlantis The Palm Hotel and Resort and of course the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa.
This is not it and the list continues on this special Dubai edition of Monopoly, with other notable landmarks Al Fahidi Historical District, Dubai Frame, Dubai Opera, Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village also featuring, as well as hotels the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Emirates Towers as prime locations on the board.
Nabil Ramadhan, CEO Dubai Retail, said, “Given the popularity of Monopoly worldwide, this new edition will offer a wonderful opportunity to introduce one of Dubai’s most iconic retail locations, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, amongst Dubai’s biggest and best-known locations to a wider international audience.”
Dubai was chosen as the first emirate in the Middle East to have its own edition of Monopoly which first hit the shelves in 1935 and has since been played by billions of people worldwide.
