The Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah has announced it has introduced a 50% discount on traffic fines along with cancellation of traffic black points. The announcement was made by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police.
The discounts are available to motorists with fines issued from Sharjah, if they make the payments from now and up to 31 January, 2020. The discounts only apply to outstanding fines issued before 22 October, 2019.
The discount will also apply to certain fines issued against some serious offences, including offences that endangered lives of other road users and also applies to vehicles impounded for specific violations.
