Popular breast cancer fundraising event Pink is Punk is set return to Dubai for its eleventh edition on Friday, 4 October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month with three family friendly events.
The fundraising event will see three events supporting the cause. The Pink is Punk Swim:Run event on 4 October will be followed by Pink Sunset Yoga on 8 October, and the all new Pink is Punk Paddle on 11 October.
The first two events on 4 and 8 October will be hosted by Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort and for Pink is Punk Paddle on 11 October, the venue will be RIVA Beach
Last year in 2018, the event raised a total of Dhs 87,000 for Brest Friends, in association with Al Jalila Foundation, and is aiming to exceed the amount this year.
Guillaume Mariole, Co-Founder and CEO of IGNITE Group says, “100% of the proceeds, from what this year will be three fun and inclusive events, will go to Brest Friends and in turn, will be used to fund research as well as directly support patients and their families.”
Pink is Punk Swim: Run, will kick off at 6am on 4 October and participants can choose from four categories: an open swim and run, (600m swim and 3km beach and pavement run); two junior categories for participants aged 6 to 11 years old, and 12 to 16 years old (200m swim and 800m beach run) and the Fun Run, (a 3km beach and pavement run) for all ages. Entry starts at Dhs 157.50
As pink is the colour for Breast Cancer Awareness, participants are encouraged to dress in their finest wild pink costumes. All participants will receive a goody bag at the end.
Pink is Punk Moonlight yoga session is also taking place at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort on 8th October will start off from 7pm. Anyone aged 16 years or miore can participate. Entry starts from Dhs 105.
Pink is Punk Pink Paddle, a new addition to this year’s line-up of events, the Pink Paddle stand-up paddleboard session will be held at RIVA Beach from 7am on 11 October. Participants aged 10 and over can choose from category distances ranging from 1km to 4km and paddleboards will be available to rent. Entry starts from Dhs 63.
Since 2008, Pink is Punk has raised over Dhs 350,000 for breast cancer related charities and will once again donate 100% of all proceeds for the 2019 events to Brest Friends, in association with the Al Jalila Foundation.

Further to this, the food delivery app, Deliveroo joins Pink is Punk to alos contribute to the cause. This Friday, on 4 October, for every order placed from Deliveroo’s Editions restaurants (JLT, Hessa and Business Bay), Deliveroo will donate Dhs 5 to Pink is Punk to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and research. Customers can get their meals from Deliveroo on the day, with no extra charge, while knowing that their purchase has donated to a great cause.
