There is no doubt that the UAE has has become a role model for development in the region and beyond, and in order to keep standards improving His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has announced the annual assessment of government entities, and rewarded those who have excelled.
A total of 600 government entities across the UAE were assessed following a thorough procedure, and the team members of entities that came on top were awarded with two months’ salary.
Teams of the five best centres that will receive the two-month bonus are:
- The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Fujairah Centre
- The Ministry of Education, Ajman Centre
- The Ministry of Interior, Traffic and Licensing Centre, Ajman
- The Ministry of Interior, Wasit Police Station, Sharjah
- Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, Ras Al Khaimah Centre
On the contrary, there were five centres which were listed for their worst performance. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed added, “We ordered director generals to closely monitor their entities and improve centres' performance in a month and I will visit."
According to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s post on his Twitter account, “the cost of hiding mistakes is much higher.”
The worst performing government services centres are:
- The Emirates Post Group, Al Khan, Sharjah Centre
- The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Al Muhaisnah Centre for Preventive Medicine, Dubai
- The General Pension and Social Security Authority, Sharjah Centre
- The Ministry of Community Development, Social Affairs Abu Dhabi, Baniyas Centre
- The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Fujairah Centre
