The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, will visit the UAE later this week.
During the two-day trip, which starts on Friday, 23 August, Modi will meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
According to government news agency WAM, the two will discuss “prospects to enhance the long-standing friendship relations and strategic co-operation between the UAE and India.”
The two leaders will also have a discussion over "the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern".
It is the Indian PM’s third state visit to the UAE, his last being in February 2018. During this visit Prime Minister Modi will be presented with the Order of Zayed, bestowed upon him In April 2019 by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
