This week sees the final week of the academic year for schools in Dubai, and though the only thing on students minds is the upcoming long summer vacation, the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced the dates for the academic year 2019 to 2020. Through it’s official twitter account the MoE confirmed the back to school dates for public and private schools will be 1 September 2019 and the last day of the academic year is 2 July 2020.
The tweet also confirmed the dates of the start and end of winter and spring breaks, with schools closing for winter break on 15 December 2019 and resuming again on 5 January 2019 for non MoE curriculum private schools and 12 January 2020 for MoE private schools. Schools will close for spring break on 29 March 2020 and resume back on 12 April 2020.
