Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched its new “Nol Plus” loyalty programme which will reward you every time you use your ‘metro’ card.
As per the new scheme, metro users can earn points for using their Nol card, which can be redeemed against taxi fares, paid parking zones, entering public parks, selected retail outlets, restaurants, coffee shops, petrol stations, pharmacies and even for topping up the balance Nol card.
A personalised blue Nol card will get users one point for every dirham spent and silver cardholders will get one point for every two dirhams spent. No information has been given on gold card points.
The new programme is available to all Nol card users which currently include 27,000 people.
“nol+ programme is mainly aimed to encourage the digitalisation of payments using the latest technology means of nol cards, and therefore scale down cash transactions and eliminate manual paper tickets. It underscores RTA’s keenness to support the Dubai Paperless Transactions Strategy aimed at transforming all Dubai Government transactions into digital or smart transactions by 2021,” said Abdul Aziz Al Falahi, CEO of Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, RTA.
You can register for your Nol card with the RTA at www.nolplus.ae and can use the redemption services through the RTA app as well.
