The UAE Ministry of Education has announced that all public schools in Dubai and Sharjah will be closed for two days on 4 and 5 February and all schools, public and private, across the UAE will close for one day on 5 February.
The announcement was made through the Ministry of Education Twitter account, and though no official reason has been given, the closures coincide with the visit to the UAE this week of Pope Francis.
