Emirate has announced changes to their baggage allowance policy which comes into effect next month. According to the new policy, Economy Class passengers will have their baggage allowance reduced by 5kgs.
The airline four different type of Economy Class tickets, Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus and the changes apply to two of these tickets. Special class passengers will have a baggage allowance of 15kgs, down from 20kgs and the baggage allowance and Saver tickets will be 25kgs, down from 30kgs.
The baggage allowance for Flex and Flex Plus will remain at 30kgs and 35kgs respectively and the 40kg for Business Class and 50kg for First Class also remains unchanged.

The change to the policy will come into effect from 4 February, however tickets issued before 4 February will benefit form the current baggage allowance, even if travel is scheduled for after 4 February.
