We’ve all witnessed police patrolling via horseback, what we haven’t seen, however, is police patrolling via… camel. Abu Dhabi Police has now launched a camel patrol by the name of Hajana in order to embrace the region’s most faithful four-legged friend as well as increasing the span of security in the region.
Maj Gen Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police stated that, “Police have been trained in accordance with the standard of best practices to carry out their civic duty to prevent crime and communicate with the public,”
“We continue to strive in making Abu Dhabi safe and continue to employ all possible means to raise the level of security in the emirate,” he added.
