At least 100 service centres across 40 organisations will only be available online for a week starting from Sunday, 21 October. The aim behind the initiative is to encourage people to use digital services instead of paper services.
All participating service centres will remain closed until Thursday and people can make payments through dedicated apps and online payment channels.
The initiative comes after a similar successful initiative last year, when government services went online only for a day and reports recorded an increase of 30 percent in the use of digital services on that day.
The initiative is being led by Dubai's Department of Finance.
