With the aim to provide a more local experience to its customers, Netflix has changed its pricing structure in the UAE. Now, users will pay their monthly subscription fees in dirhams instead of dollars.
According to the new pricing list in dirhams, customers on the basic one-screen subscription will be charged Dhs 29 per month instead of $7.99 (Dhs 29) and standard two-screen viewers will be charged Dhs 39 instead of $9.99 (Dhs 37).
Premium four-screen customers will now pay Dhs 56 instead of $11.99 (Dhs 44), which means that premium customers will now have to pay Dhs 144 extra annually to continue their Netflix services.
The changes come into effect immediately as the next bill cycle comes around.
