The shopping experience in Dubai is going to reach new heights soon as Dubai Holding and Emaar Properties have announced the launch of a massive new shopping mall, Dubai Square, whuich will be at the heart of the upcoming Dubai Creek Harbour development.
Drawing inspiration from the next generation of technology, the new mall is expected to set a benchmark for retail experience in the 21st century.
The 6 square kilometre mega-development will be only 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport and the iconic Burj Khalifa, and set alongside the historic Dubai Creek.
The new project will offer over 750,000 square of gross floor retail space which is equivalent to the size of more than 100 football grounds and is nearly double the size of Dubai Mall.
Spread across three levels, each level will offer a unique experience to customers.
The new project will be home to the Middle East’s largest of its kind Chinatown. The ground floor of the mall will feature a ground breaking events arena and will be fitted out to be able to host concerts, theatre shows and celebrity performances. The first floor will have a four-lane boulevard lined with luxury retail, dining and leisure outlets. Across the boulevard will be a grand luxury avenue, with high-profile brands and a dazzling piazza, and scores of casual dining restaurants.
The second floor will have all the experiential attractions, including an ‘Ice Adventure’, a cineplex, a waterpark, sports area and a supermarket with a metro link
The mall will be driven by tech innovation. Championing ‘omnichannel retailing’, it will offer customers a blend of shopping via desktop, mobile or at a retail store. Digital conveniences will include custom-designed mobile apps, quick checkout solutions, search and barcode scanning applications, radio-frequency identification technology, mobile payments and click-and-collect services. Wow, now that’s called the future of shopping!
We cannot wait for this new mall to open and experience a unique technology driven shopping experience.
