Theme park fans, there’s a new thrill to add to your to-do list. Abu Dhabi’s Warner Bros. World officially opens tomorrow!
The park was inaugurated on Monday by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces along with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The project has cost $1 billion (roughly Dhs 3.7 billion)
In honour of the event, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tweeted: "With my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed while launching the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi - a new milestone in our capital ... a new destination for our families and a key hub to boost the tourism sector for our national economy."
HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed posted to his Twitter account, too, saying: "We are developing the tourism sector to position the UAE among top global destinations for family entertainment and leisure."
With a number of different ‘lands,’ this park is literally every big kid’s dream… The little ones can come too, if they have to!
The lands include ‘Metropolis' - The City of Tomorrow that Superman calls home, ‘Bedrock' - home to the Flintstones and a guaranteed Abu-Dhabi-Doo time and 'Cartoon Junction’ where you can meet all your childhood classics such as Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo.
