Road deaths are not something to take lightly in the region, with over 76 people killed and 884 injured in 1,250 major traffic accidents this year alone, the numbers are staggering. But what is the main cause? Sudden swerving. Just 7 months into the year, sudden swerving on the roads has claimed 23 lives, according to a Dubai Police official.
In a campaign last year titled ‘Come On,’ drivers were warned about the dangers of swerving and urged to indicate and make sure there is space for changing lanes.
Despite the campaign, drivers continue to swerve, endangering themselves and others. Sudden swerving claimed over 70 lives last year.
