The hour and a half trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi is getting closer to becoming a lot shorter.
Over the weekend, the first pod prototype was unveiled to the public. The 700mph passenger transport system could make travel between the Emirates as short at 12 minutes.
The commuter tube system will not be limited to passengers but also to transport goods.
It is believed the transport will save approximately USD800Million (almost Dhs 3 billion) in hours lost, due to commuting.
Dubai Media Office took to twitter to share a video of the proposed prototype featuring a space-age capsule with plenty of room and touchscreens. Although, we don’t believe you will have much time to catch an in-transit movie.
