The speed limit on Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road between Dubai-Al Ain Road and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road has been increased from 80km/h to 90 km/h. The decision taken by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and Dubai Police was announced on Saturday, 12 May
RTA used its official Instagram handle @rta_dubai to announce the revisions to the public. The post said, “#RTA and the General HQ of Dubai Police, have decided to increase the speed limit of the Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road in the sector between Dubai-Al Ain Road, and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road from 80km/h to 90 km/h starting on Saturday 12 May. The decision to raise the speed limit on this sector of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road has been taken after extensive studies were done according to the speed management manual in Dubai. The manual contains procedures, stipulations and flexible engineering standards governing the setting and assessing of speed limits on various roads of Dubai to bring them in line with the latest international practices.”
