A young Emirati boy succumbed to the injuries on the spot after his car ran into a tree at very high speed in Ras Al Khaimah. The police said, “The victim was driving at high speed and lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road before crashing into a tree.” The impact of the collision was such that the car was torn into two halves, killing the Emirati teenager on the spot. The accident took place on Friday in the Emirate's Al Jazirah Al Hamra district.
An emergency team was dispatched immediately to the site after police received an alert about the accident around 5.35am, said Colonel Ahmad Sum Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols at Ras Al Khaimah Police.
Brigadier Dr Mohammad Saeed Al Humaidi, Director General of the Central Operations, requested motorists to abide by traffic rules and speed limits.
