If you have recently visited La Mer and wondered what the construction is in the middle of this new beachfront property, then you don't need to wonder any more.It’s good news for Dubai visitors and residents, as La Mer is opening up a brand new water park, Laguna, this May. Although the definite date has yet to be confirmed, and is due to be annoucned any day now, this will definitely be the new place for splashing arouns this summer.
The new water park includes five main rides, two of which are a first for the Middle East, as well as a pool lounge, children’s zone, lazy river, food kiosks and a merchandise store.
Some of the unique attractions include the only WaveOz 180 FloRider in the GCC, also known as ‘The Ultimate Surf Machine’; an exciting slide tower including the region’s first Manta family raft ride and Aqualoop; and a comprehensive children’s zone with Splash Pad and AquaPlay Rainfortress.
The visitors can purchase a day pass which will allow them to go out of the water park, enjoy La Mer beachfront, have food and come back. The ticket prices will be Dhs 99 for residents when purchased online, otherwise the ticket will cost Dhs 125 to residents at the gate. The ticket price will be Dhs 159 for non-residents and free admission for children under 2 years old.
