The UAE has continuously experienced thick fog over the past week, creating restricted visibility on the roads and a level of delays and disruption to air services across the airports. New Year's Eve is no different with residents waking up to a layer of fog in most parts.
Though the fog is lifting throughout the day, the National Centre for Meteorology is forecasting hazy skies and partly cloudy, with a chance of fog in the evening continuing and into New Year's Day.
With over 1.5 million people expected to witness a fantastic show that will light up the Burj Khalifa and Downtown, and all the amazing firework shows planned throughout the country, conditions may not be perfect, however it would need a very thick layer off fog to significantly affect the events and put a dampener on the enthusiasm of the UAE to see in 2018.
