Due to over-pollution of the wildlife reserve, Al Qudra Lakes has got some new - and strict rules.
The hotspot for outdoor activities, especially at this time of year, is cracking down on what visitors can and cannot do.
As Al Qudra is a wildlife reserve, it is the authority's main concern to protect its inhabitants.
If you're still unsure about what the rules are in the reserve, here's a list of regulations.
You are not permitted to:
- Light bonfires
- Camp
- Barbecue/cook
- Litter
- Walk your dog
- Swim
- Fish
- Feed the wildlife
- Hunt/kill wildlife
- Drive motorcycles and vehicles
- Cut or remove plants
The new rules were implemented earlier this month with the installation of 35 signs with all the latest rules and regulations added.
Those caught doing so will face a Dhs 500 fine. Repeat offenders will face a fine of Dhs 1,000.
