Your things to do in Dubai bucket list will have to wait till January because Dubai Frame, which after several delays and postponements was scheduled to open this December, has now been pushed to January 2018.
According to Gulf News, Director of Leisure Facilities at Dubai Municipality said, “Since Dubai Safari is opening next month [December], we will inaugurate Dubai Frame in January to avoid opening two major landmarks at the same time.”
Once open, the Dubai Frame can be accessed Star Gate in Zabeel Park.
The Frame will have interior spaces on the ground floor for exhibitions, which will display details of old Dubai in pictures and show how the city evolved since the sixties and how it is now.
The tickets will be priced at Dhs 50 for adults and Dhs 30 for children. Children under 3, people over 60 and people of determination will enter for free.
The ground floor ends at the main panoramic elevator, which goes up through the Frame to get to the top floor. At the top, visitors will have a bird’s-eye view of old Dubai and views of high-rise towers and development projects of new Dubai in contrast.
The project is expected to attract 2 million visitors a year and will join the long list of internationally recognised landmarks, such as the world’s tallest tower Burj Khalifa and the seven-star hotel Burj Al Arab.
Although you may have to wait a little longer for this attraction, Dubai Safari will open in December, as scheduled.
And we cannot wait to see the cute cubs Leo and Snowy and all the other animals in the Safari’s four villages.
