The best spots to see National Day fireworks in the UAE

Any celebration in the UAE means fireworks and we really know how to put on an epic display. This National Day weekend will be no different with firework displays all over the country!


DUBAI

1. Global Village

A wonderland where you can see the whole world in one, Global Village has been wowing attendees for over 20 years. It’s no surprise that with so much experience, the Global Village fireworks are phenomenal. On 1-3 December, Global Village will host firework displays in honour of the UAE flag and will reach a whopping height of 200 metres! Also on offer, a variety of musical presentations for the incredible five-minute-long spectacle.

2. La Mer

Dubai’s hottest new beach location is following suit this year after opening in October. The first of its kind, the fireworks at La Mer will take place on 1 December, tantalising guests from 9.30pm.

3. The Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa - of course! The world's tallest building goes all out to celebrate National Day and this year is no exception. On 2 December, The Burj Khalifa will sport the UAE flag whilst the spectacular firework display makes a comeback. 

4. Dubai Festival City

Check out the Festival Bay from 1.30-11.15pm. The firework display will be on at 9.10pm followed by Jet Pack stunts shows, dance performances and the new Imagine elements show.

5. The Beach

The Marina skyline is lighting up again this year. Make sure you get there early to witness the firework extravaganza as it can get quite packed up! The festivities are on all weekend, with the firework display on 2 December.


ABU DHABI

6. Yas Island

Yas Marina Circuit has a heap of things to do this weekend. The National Day Colours event kicks off at 2 pm to 9 pm on Saturday 2 December, with the firework display rounding it off at 9 pm.

7. Al Maryah Island

Who says water and fire don’t mix? Al Maryah Island’s waterfront will experience a makeunder as it goes back in time. With a traditional look, Al Maryah will feature architectural installations of traditional Arabic houses, taking it back to the roots of Emirati culture. The fireworks display will be four-minutes-long, concluding the event at 9 pm on 2 December.

SHARJAH

8. Al Qasba

If you’re wanting to escape hustle and bustle, Sharjah is hosting a fireworks display at Al Qasba. The venue offers a load of different activities, entertainment and culture for grown-ups and kids of all ages!
