A concerned son contacted Dubai Police after he could not get in touch with his father. The son, an Asian man who lives in the United States, became worried for his father’s whereabouts in Dubai after he lost communication with him.
Dubai Police sprung into action upon receiving the call and managed to locate the man’s “missing” father. According to Brigadier Ahmed Bin Glaitha, director of Riffa police station, the worried son claimed that his father had switched his phone off.
“Just one hour after receiving the call, we managed to calm down the son and located his father. He was safe but he had a problem in his phone and he couldn’t contact his son,” Brigadier Bin Glaitha said.
Police officers found the man and once they had gone to his home, they discovered that he had been terminated from his job. He was staying with a friend.
“The father was in a bad situation because of that, his phone wasn’t working and he didn’t bother to fix it or to speak with anyone, including his son, in order not to cause him any anxiety,” he added.
Dubai police informed the son of the situation his father was in and even took him to get his phone fixed!
