The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCE) announced a ban on imports of live chicken and wild birds from Bulgaria on Wednesday.
The MoCCAE has prohibited the import of all kinds of live domestic wild birds, ornamental birds, chicks and hatching eggs to the region. This comes following the registration of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Earlier this year, the MoCCAE banned the import of poultry products from the Philippines and The Netherlands. The Ministry hopes that the efforts with aid in retaining the highest standards of health.
