Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed the marriage of a young Emirati couple at the newly inaugurated Service 1 centre in Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Omar Sultan Al Olama and Amal bin Shabib, who are the first couple to get married at the centre. The marriage ceremony was conducted using the service package "Mabrook Ma Dabbrat" (translated from Arabic, means 'congratulations on your marriage’) which employs smart technology in linking the centre with an official in Dubai courts to complete the marriage contract according to Islamic Sharia and legal procedures.
The Service 1 centre at Emirates Towers will combine services on a single platform through one portal and with one employee representing 14 government agencies. The centre uses smart technology such as IBM Watson and smart robots, to provide personalised services to customers.
The centre offers three service packages to the public. The ‘Mabrook Ma Yaak’ (translated from Arabic and means ‘congratulations on your new born’) package prepares all the official documents for new born babies. Pilot testing for the service is currently underway at three hospitals in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The ‘Mabrook Ma Dabbart’ (translated from Arabic and means ‘congratulations on your marriage’) also prepares all the official documents for newlyweds and opens door for those who want to submit applications for a housing loan. The ‘Employment’ services package allows small companies to complete all the government paperwork for registering their employees.
The centre will act as a gateway to more than 100 smart services from eight government entities through SmartPass e-identification. Customers can also utilise robots to record audio-video suggestions on the spot.
