Emirates marked the 9th anniversary of its award-winning A380 service with a newly revamped A380 onboard lounge that made its operational debut on a flight to Kuala Lumpur this week. The lounge, which was first introduced on 1st August 2008, has become a mainstay of the brand’s double decker aircraft. The social spot’s makeover, inspired by private yacht cabins, features a more intimate and social area at 40,000ft. The space accommodates 26 guests and serves the finest grape beverages from around the world, in addition to 14 different mixed beverages that are whipped up by crew trained as mixologists. The back of the lounge features a 55in LCD screen with the latest flight information and updates. The world’s largest operator of the aircraft, Emirates flies the A380 to 48 cities, including Casablanca and Sao Paulo.
